Product Highlights
OpenTTCN provides a powerful and reliable solution for adding
TTCN support to an existing test equipment or a test system.
The product complies with TTCN-3, TTCN-2, and ASN.1 standards.
OpenTTCN Tester is a ready-to-run application for creating a
standards-based automated test systems. A complete test system
can be created using OpenTTCN Tester and other components,
to meet the customer requirements.
OpenTTCN Tester for TTCN-3 is an interpreter-based tool for compiling and executing TTCN-3 and TTCN-2 test cases. The tool supports TTCN-3, TTCN-2, and ASN.1 languages. The tool executes test cases and produces a test log. The System Under Test (SUT) is connected to OpenTTCN Tester using user-programmed or test system vendor supplied TTCN-3 adapters. These adapters are implemented using OpenTTCN SDK that is included to the product.
The OpenTTCN TTCN-3 SDK included supports ANSI C APIs of TRI for implementing SUT and platform adapters; TCI-CD for implementing codecs; and TCI-TM for implementing test management user interfaces. In addition to ANSI C APIs, OpenTTCN is releasing OpenTTCN SDK for Java and C# languages during first quarter of 2008 (prototypes are already available for evaluation in Windows operating system).
Product Benefits
SIMPLE AND EFFICIENT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS.
When using OpenTTCN tool, the user feels that he or she is in control.
When OpenTTCN tool is used, the process needed is simple:
edit, load, and run.
The process of writing a test
case, supplying it to the tester, and running the test case now becomes a fast routine
operation. This is especially handy when you regularly
add new test cases to your test system. This allows instant verification of
new test cases.
No extra translation to yet another programming
language, compilation, and linking is needed, nor the extra compilers.
OFFERS OPEN AND STANDARD COMPLIANT IMPLEMENTATION. OpenTTCN tool is compliant with TTCN-3, TTCN-2 and ASN.1 standards.
We are dedicated providing of open interfaces and component architecture that
allows for easy integration with existing systems and other testing tools.
OFFERS ROBUST AND MATURE IMPLEMENTATION. OpenTTCN has been in extensive production use
and subject to ongoing development and maintenance.
After several years of reliable operation on our customer's projects,
OpenTTCN have matured into a well-established platform that suits a
wide range of needs for automated testing.
PRODUCES DETAILED TEST LOG.
OpenTTCN automatically creates a detailed test log from the execution
of a test campaign. In case of a failed test case, the location and the reason for the failure can
be automatically analyzed.
INCLUDES COMPREHENSIVE DOCUMENTATION. OpenTTCN comes with documentation and examples
that cover various aspects of product usage, including installation and set-up,
execution of test cases, command-line user interface and the use of
OpenTTCN SDK's TTCN-3 TRI, TCI-CD, and TCI-TM interfaces.
PROVIDES HIGH PERFORMANCE.
OpenTTCN tool compiles the test cases before the test execution
is started using just-in-time-compiler. The test execution is then
as fast as with tools translating TTCN-3 core language to C/C++
source code thas is compiled.
ALLOWS USE EXISTING KNOWLEDGE AND COMPONENTS.
Various test systems have been developed and deployed for OpenTTCN,
including test systems for WiMAX, SIP, IPv6, ISUP, V5, and others.
New test systems can be easily developed using
TTCN-3 TRI and TCI-CD standard interfaces,
as well as using available components or test systems available from test system vendors.
