OpenTTCN SDK for Microsoft Visual C++ .NET Released

January 14, 2005. OpenTTCN Oy has released the OpenTTCN SDK version 2.51.0 for Windows platforms that supports Microsoft Visual C++ .NET / Microsoft Development Environment 2003 Version 7.1.

The package includes SDK that is compatible with OpenTTCN's TTCN-3 and TTCN-2 tools. This release allows TTCN-3 SUT and Platform Adapters and TTCN-2 Interface Servers to be developed in Windows .NET environment.

OpenTTCN SDK contains standard TTCN-3 TRI and TCI-CD ANSI C APIs, and OpenTTCN Oy's C++ Interface Server Library (C-ISL) that are used to develop TTCN-3 SUT and platform adapters, TTCN-3 coding and encoding, and TTCN-2 Interface Servers to be used as part of OpenTTCN test systems. Both the TTCN-3 SUT adapters and the TTCN-2 Interface Servers are components that connect an Implementation Under Test (IUT) and a Test Execution component using either network connection or software-based inter-process communication.

The package includes SDK version 2.51.0 that is compatible with:

  • OpenTTCN Tester for TTCN-3 (Windows) version core 2.51.0 (or later), or
  • OpenTTCN Tester for TTCN-3 (Linux) version 2.51.0 (or later),

This release contains all features of OpenTTCN SDK 2.51.0 that has previously been available for Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 compiler except libraries for TTCN-2 related DFX and DFW frameworks.

In the 2.52.0 version of OpenTTCN SDK these .NET libraries may be included with the standard OpenTTCN SDK.

The interfaces of OpenTTCN Tester for Linux SDK v2.51.0 are compatible with OpenTTCN Tester implementing features of the latest TTCN-3 Core Language standard ETSI ES 201 873-1 v2.2.1 (2003-02), and with the latest TTCN-2 language standard ISO/IEC 9646-3:1998.
