During TTCN-3 User Conference 2007, held in Stockholm, Sweden between May 29 and
June 1, 2007, a number of users of various TTCN-3 tools expressed an increased
concern about the quality of TTCN-3 tool implementations
during the conference presentations.
Some participants commented that these types of problems are so common that
according to them "These problems are TTCN-3 language issues, not tool issues."
Vesa-Matti Puro of OpenTTCN says that "TTCN-3 tool vendors
shall look into the mirror if users are regarding these types of errors
commonplace and acceptable." Vesa-Matti Puro is convinced that "Something
shall be done" to increase user confidence in TTCN-3 tools.
OpenTTCN Oy challenges all TTCN-3 tool users and vendors to co-operate and
jointly increase the overall confidence in TTCN-3 tools.
